Googleリーダーと同期可能になった人気RSSリーダー『NetNewsWire』

iPhone/iPod touchの人気RSSリーダーアプリ『NetNewsWire』がバージョンアップによりGoogleリーダーとの同期が可能になったので試してみました。
以前のバージョンのNetNewsWireは同アプリを提供するNewsGatorのサーバーを介してWeb版のRSSリーダーやMac版NetNewsWireと同期していたのですが、NewsGatorのRSSリーダーが8月31日をもって終了したため、Mac版とともに今回のバージョンアップでGoogleリーダーと同期するように仕様が変更されました。
アプリを立ち上げるとGoogleアカウントの設定を求められるので、Googleのユーザーネームとアカウントを入力します。ログインするとGoogleリーダーとの同期が始まります。右がフィード一覧画面。

エントリーをTwitterに投稿したりInstaPaperにブックマークしてInstaPaperアプリを使ってiPhoneにダウンロードしオフラインで読むことも出来ます。またエントリ画面のタイトルをタップすると内蔵ブラウザで元記事が表示可能。
私は以前からGoogleリーダーの愛用者で、Googleリーダーと同期可能なRSSリーダーを今までいくつか試してきました。このNetNewsWireは同期もなかなか速く、画面デザインやUIがシンプルで使いやすく、内蔵ブラウザで元記事も読めるので優秀な部類に入ると思います。以前のNewsGator時代からNetNewsWireを利用していた方にとって今回のバージョンアップはイマイチ評判がよろしくないようですが、Googleリーダーを愛用している方なら試してみる価値はあると思います。
